Trying to figure out some LoRa stuffs

LoRa board
to Pi or not to Pi: Seen builds that include a Raspberry Pi to manage but to also gather data from the LoRa board.
Also seen a hat for the R-Pi, so tempted to investigate that to reduce footprint if wanting to include the R-Pi
This would primarily be for "local", like a "roof" mount build. However, have seen some use it for remote builds so that they can connect to them WiFi when close enough to manage the LoRa board such as firmware updates, etc. Somewhat pricey for management but if the "box" is in a hard to get location might be worth the headache.

need PVC slightly larger so it can slip over and around the existing pipe. Then can use bolts / screws / etc to tighten to existing pipe
How much bigger not sure yet but must be able to
